Suzy's story

I started on the floor: running restaurants for Restaurant Brands, then stores and regions, then the people side of retail at Glengarry, Noel Leeming and The Warehouse Group, where I led the learning and capability function for a business of up to 12,000 people across more than 270 stores. Along the way I worked in HR and recruitment at Westpac and Manpower, and ran learning at NZIM and Talent2.

What I saw in every one of those places is that the leaders closest to customers get the least development and carry the most weight. I founded TLC in 2018 to change that: practical, inclusive programmes built for the real world, designed with you and delivered with warmth, energy and a fair bit of commercial reality.
